thanks all . I did indeed enjoy my day .

woke up to birthday cards and a huge birthday present , which turned out to be a record player . so like any good husband i sent Carol up into the attic to get some of my records (she had to go as I don't fit through the hole to the attic , a 50" chest plus shoulders ain't gonna fit through THAT gap).

2 hours later after listening to Siouxsie , Sex Pistols, some Northern Soul and Trojan records I'd forgotten I had we went shopping .

bumped into Timmytree in Street before we hit the shops , agreed to meet up soon and have an afternoon of catching up .

i bought 4 Ben Sherman Shirts and i bought a beautiful dress and skirt for Carol from Hobbs on the pretence that they were for her 21st birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary next month (i'll let you work that one out ).

then home for some Bob Marley on the record player in the garden with a smoke , a very enjoyable day .
