Just some pics and see how this works

Despite the sour introduction to the subject what is the best way to embed photos now we cant attach them? (storing photos on the database costs disk space, I fully understand that) Image Shack and Photo Bucket want big money. Imgur are immature kids. Google drive doesn't seem to work and my One Drive and Dropbox have sensitive files in.

the technique i use is find in my Flickr the pic I wish to share, then in the bottom right hand part of the flickr page is the down arrow with the line underneath. If you click on this a pop up appears asking what size pic you want to download (the icon is in the red circle i added



I select "view all sizes" option

I then clink on the link of the size picture I want to share (usually use 800 for web forums) and then right click on the picture and select the "copy image address" in my browser pop up window



then using the insert image link from this forum, I paste that link into the tags ie [im g] paste link here [/im g] (spaces added so they don't become tags)

Agreed .. bit of a faf, but seems to be the last photo hosting web site that allows third party linking

got the email this morning , that sucks .. I expect Flikr to loose the free subscription membership sometime as SmugMug is a pay for model
