Following on from guns of old

Sun May 10, 2015 10:28 am

Like the title says, way back (1973 onwards) when i had some of these guns of old, there was not the pellet choice there is now. I used marksman as they were the easiest to get hold of. If i could afford them i would use eley wasps. I think the only others i used were a premetious type pellet. A solid piece of what looked like copper which you placed in a plastic case and then loaded into the gun.
What did other shooters use back then, and does anybody still use thes now.

Mostly Marksman but I also cast a lot of my own from a pellet mold I bought from an add in one of the gun mags.
Id agree not a lot of choice.

I used milbro`s recently, pointed ones, they were rubbish. did you know on the Milbro web site they say even they, don`t know how long Milbro has been making pellets! back in the day i used Milbro caledonians, they were available almost everywhere, mid 80`s Eley Wasps seemd like a quantum leap forward (they weren`t!)

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.
