S410 fac xtra power loss - help

Thu Apr 16, 2015 5:41 pm

Hi all

Recent got a combro from BBF , thanks :)

Checked power on the rifle this evening and was shocked at how much it had dropped. I had been living in blissful ignorance

It was 21.4 fpe with 18.13 gr jsb jumbo heavy pellets at 729fps.

Any ideas on what I need to do to restore the power?

All help greatly appreciated :)

3-4 years old. I think it might need it's seals done.

It could be a combination of seals, tired hammer spring and in need of a hammer rail clean.
Get yourself a seal kit from Julian and give it a once over. Whilst you have it stripped you could nip up the grub screw on the adjuster as this will stop the knob moving power too easily.

Anyone know the most straight forward way to get to the hammer? I've never opened up an air rifle before :|
