I picked up my first Air Arms rifle today.S400 carbine in .177.
My other PCP is an HW100 side lever/rotary magazine
My springers are a HW97KT and an HW 35k
All in .22,
My question is this,is there any particular technique for loading the S400,firstly I am finding the pellets a bit fiddly and getting them on the tray is a tad frustrating ,please tell me it get easier with practice
New S400 loading tips
Re: New S400 loading tips
It is fiddly. Try rolling them in rather than dropping directly in the channel. Best solution if you don't need to single load is to buy a Rowan mag.

Re: New S400 loading tips
I find it one of the easiest rifles to load, but then I dont have a scope on.
Re: New S400 loading tips
Hi,
I also have a HW100 and a HW97K in .22, and now I have 2 S400's in .177.
I find that I make sure that the pellet is the right way round then just place on in the tray and roll it in to the channel.
I am now confident that I will load it correctly.
You probably just need more practice.
Regards
Dave
