Hello all. Registered for the old forum, but it's been nearly two years waiting for it to be restored, and I'm questioning whether that will happen? Longtime airgunner from the western US, and got my second AA a few years back. More on that later.
If I lived in the US and could only have one air rifle, I would probably have .22 I think the best pellets we have at the moment are Air Arms Field/JSB Exact. And I think they are most accurate around 800 fps
A .22 pellet travelling at 800 fps is less affected by wind than a 177 travelling at the same speed so all else being equal, would be the better choice. However if you are target shooting and have a 12 ft-lb power limit, 177 would be better. At 12 ft-lb a 177 is doing around 800fps, 22 is more like 600fps
