I am chasing an inaccurate S510 problem and have narrowed it down .. If I remove the shroud (part 50 - Barrel Tube in the pic below) it shoots spot on
I think part 48 (Barrel Tube Support) is sitting too far forward in the shroud so its not supporting the barrel and may be clipping the pellets .. peering down the shroud I can see the back of part 48 and peering down the muzzle end can see 51 & 52 (Baffle and Shroud Insert)
My thoughts are to remove all these parts, replace the "empty" shroud, re test , add in the Barrel Tube Support, retest, add in baffle and shroud insert , retest etc etc
TIA

Re: S510 Barrel Tube Support
Try rolling the shroud down a sheet of glass, I would be surprised if it's straight, I have had 3 that wobble about all over the place, it would be even worse with a Q etc as they are caliber specific, you should be able to see if it's clipping in the mod. Rog
Re: S510 Barrel Tube Support
Cheers Rog - will definitely check the shroud for true
I read on another forum that the Barrel Tube Support is simply friction fit, so found I could push it out with a small dowel rod
I think I may have found the culprit
cleaned it up with some aerosol Napier oil, O rings are as seen "shot to hell" .. gave the inside of the shroud a clean too .. cant see how to get the Baffle and Shroud Insert out .. but may not bother now i have seen the state of the support O rings

Amazing how loud the S510 is without the shroud fitted !

Re: S510 Barrel Tube Support
If A/A had used the proper length barrel in the first place the problem wouldn't be there, the ultimate doesn't suffer these problems due to proper carbine cylinder, and mod sits on end of barrel where it should be, it still suffers from dodgy shroud but I just leave it slightly loose, am looking to maybe fitting carbon shroud, cz barrel is probably a better way of going about it though, hope your sorted. Agree Roger, well said ..
I have new O rings on order so will get them reinstalled and have another play .. will probably be the weekend now before we see if this fixes it

Re: S510 Barrel Tube Support
Finally got around to trying the O rings
All sites say that the Barrel Support O Ring is part number S600-4 and is size 14 * 1.5 NBR 70 .. I ordered up some such sized O rings and they are simply too big, so they flop around on the barrel tube support piece and when I try to assembly, the O rings "drags" out of the groove and gets ripped
Any one have confirmation on the size actually being 14 * 1.5 ?
I double checked my PolyMax order and it does say "O rings uk 14mm ID x 1.5mm CS Nitrile 70 ShA"
