Re: AA Galahad power tuning
Feet per Second (velocity) is a result of a combination between weight of pellet and power of rifle.
What pellets are your using and how much do they weigh?

Hi,
So about 31 ft.lbs then or the same as a 16 grain pellet travelling at 930 fps. Maybe the 950fps you have heard about is with a lighter pellet.

Exactly where I was going, Mark
Just looked up the literature for the Galahad rifle and they claim 950 feet/sec at 30.32 foot pounds energy which points to an obscure pellet called the Gamebore Universal at 15.16 grains.
To get 950 feet/sec with a JSB Heavy at 18.13 grains, you would need 36.3 foot pounds energy which may or may not be possible with the hammer spring fitted on a Galahad.

OK, this what i am asking about..if the hammer spring can afford such an energy, how can i dot it???
