They are these days. the barrels usually stop up to 6 inches short of the shroud and it sounds awful. but they have either enhanced tje studio sound or he's wound it up to over 6ft lb.
Anyone at national level could do that trick.

I agree, from what I've seen of the top 10 meter performers, it's good shooting, but not phenomenal. One thing though - a genuine question - would a pellet from a gun shooting at 6 ft-lb gun actually remove the cap? Anyone tried it?
