Possible suffolk venue

Wed Mar 11, 2015 9:58 pm

Hi all.

Am working for a long term customer in Suffolk who owns the farm where I shoot. This job I am on at the moment is recladding and roofing one of the long barns.
It will be up for any type of meet, currently there is a vintage caravan ralley organised,a party etc.
The site consists of caravan pitch with hook ups in the orchard, camping area and some facilities,ie shower and a loo, another block of loos on the farm, bed and breakfast by arrangement, the Hall house is surrounded by a moat and some fishing is available to those staying, and further one bed barn cottages.
Owner would approve of 12lb air rifle shooting at targets and if they approved I could show you location of rats and rabbits.
If it is of interest to a small group/groups I would pass on details, liase, escort on a visit to see if its suitable, but have no experience of organising such a meet but willing to help and muck in.
Please let me know if interested and if there is someone more capable in sorting a meet.A website is available for the 1200 acre farm and the cottages if the wife fancies something a bit more civalised, location for the moment is near 'stonham barns, suffolk show ground
Thanks Karl.

Mods,if this is in wrong location then please move

Sounds like a great idea .... I'd support with help and volunteering to make it happen, mate :)

Thanks Raj,its a nice relaxed location with plenty of room and the owners are the best.
Thought it might be good to do something down this end of the country but I know there are not to many members down here,so may struggle.

I could be tempted to help & support. No guarantees due to variable work and other commitments but is there a date (month would do) in mind?

Open to suggestions on which month, what is it turn up on Friday night and leave sunday type of thing.
Only thing I would say is july 20th ish the harvest usually starts,so would be lots of activity around the farm, but that shouldn't really effect us.
See what numbers come forward and than we could go from there.
What would you normally have been provided with on a meet weekend.
