Unfortunately I don't have permission to answer your pm, but your suggestion sound reasonable, could you confirm what condition the recoil pad is in, as it is to go on my newly refurbed stock

Good but not perfect .its ten years old.thats all.

I already have one that came with the stock and ideally wanted a new one but they aren't available
