Trigger screws on TX200

If I were to source a tap for the 2 screws in the trigger blade, what would I ask for? Metric taps aren't at the local hardware, so it's a special order.

Pretty sure m3x0.5 is your size. Part tx431 is m3x16mm flat point grub screw. But why a tap? did you damage the thread? Will re-tapping fix it?
If you do, take out the nylon locking pad first.

Here is the whole story. I intend to fill the adjuster screw holes and the lock hole with J-B weld or some type of liquid steel epoxy. I will then drill new adjuster holes which is why I need the tap. I plan to change the angle of attack on the screws so that they strike the bottom sear further from it's pivot and they will also be closer to the trigger blades pivot. Both of these will allow more leverage on the sear and, in theory, should lower the weight of pull that is possible, while still maintaining a perfectly functioning trigger. I know that V-Mach sells a blade with just this mod and it is said to lower the pull by 50%. Trouble is, they want me to ship my trigger unit to them for fitting. Another thing is, their blade is straight and I prefer a curved factory style blade. Thanks for the offer Sake-San, but I have a donor trigger blade already. It's just something I've wanted to try. The trigger unit already adjusts down to 2 oz., but this gives a bit of a floppy first stage. This may take me a few weeks or months, but I'll be sure to post the results as soon as I'm finished. This trigger unit is the old style with the screw together housing. No rivets on this one and the very earliest came with the other angle on the adjusters. Problem is, this one has the new style blade as it was right on the cross over from screws to rivets.

In that case you will need a 2.5mm tapping drill too.

Mr Poole , make life easier for yourself , by filling the pivot hole with an ally plug then re drill the pivot as close as is possible without breaking into the trigger adjusting screws then file some clearance behind the new hole , going to attempt to put a picture up.

There's another way to skin this cat. Never even thought of that way round the modification. How much better is the trigger, or is it worth it?

Its definitely an improvement, the second stage stop is more definite, and then a very light release, before the mod I found if I had the second stage as light as I like occasionally I would accidentally pull through the first stage , that doesn't happen now .
