S410 tdr bigger air cylinder

Tue Jun 28, 2016 7:34 pm

So I was wandering after researching with no real success can you get a bigger air cylinder my tdr is pre anti tamper and while at the range the other day there was a bloke with a 2013 tdr and his air cylinder was considerably longer, I am planning on fitting a regulator which I know will squeeze an extra few shots out

Was his a .177? I'm sure they have longer cylinders than the .22 to give a decent shot count.

No it was a 22 as we were having a chat and comparing old to new his felt abit heavier but the air cylinder was to the end of his barrel

Hi,

I think the early TDR had something like a 200mm long cylinder while the later ones are 300mm.

I believe so. Just check that the extra 100mm isn't going to cause it to foul the silencer in use. The other chap may have had the carbine barrel fitted to his one.

It's all down to the valve Eddie. The 200 cylinder is removable isn't it?

Probably find that adaptor was for a different make of moderator ie weihrauch, all barrels on tdr are 15.5 . And the old ones had short cylinders, later ones are longer but should still fit, if still unsure ask Julian our spares man. Rog

It's not like the a Rapid where the air stays in the cylinder when it is unscrewed. You drain the rifles air, unscrew the short cylinder and screw in a longer one from a carbine (300mm). Threads etc are the same just the length changes. Contact Julian Bond on this website (or bgaltd on the web) as he is the supplier of AA spares. IIRC they are about £35 or so.
