This is my second topic on the forum here.
So to back track, purchased a 2006 S410 Classic .22 and was really excited to get back into the sport.
however had some troubles.
just couldn't get the rifle to give me a reasonable group.
after doing much research i tried a number of things.
cleaning the barrel, experimented with diffrent pellets, removed the moderator.... just didnt seem to be getting anywhere.
I finally settled on the JSB Jumbo Diablo as seemed to be getting the best groups with them. however did try the usual suspect AA field targets, Accupels etc......
still didn't seem to bet getting any where.
so took a leap of faith really. and came to the conclusion that i wasn't getting on with the hawke scope i had or maybe it was damaged ( however all appears fine with it ). It came with the gun when i purchased it.
So i went out and purchased a Nikko Sterling Mount Master 4 - 12 X 50 AO IL ( not that the IL matter it was the one thay had in stock and there was £3 difference with it so. ) and also purchased a UNF adapter and H100 Moderator. and i am pleased to say i have seen much improvement. I seem to get on better with the Nikko Scope than the Hawke, and the H100 Moderator is unbelievable, such a difference.
Just for fun and start some convo.

It's actually not that unusual for your eyes to prefer one make of scope to another, personally I struggle with Hawke scopes generally but get on fine with the mamba lite from MTC. Other people find the opposite. Whatever the reason, you're shooting better!
Re: Just for fun and start some convo.
I found that differing zoom levels on a Hawke put me everywhere. Not just vertical, but horizontal too.

I would wholeheartedly agree with Tim, i never got on with my Mamba lite scope couldnt group well with it found it difficult to judge distance and use the mill dots so i went back to Hawke and suddenly my groupings came back and i could hit things again. My father uses a Nikko Sterling and it suits him just fine. I guess; as we are all different, so different scopes match different folks!

And so is the HW100 rifle where the Moderator Originally came from, unbelievably superb ...
