Advice Needed..!!

Mon Feb 22, 2016 4:38 pm

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone has come across this I accidentally spilt some super glue on my S400 stock after doing a job. I have tried turps got water and do not know what I can do to get this of without a light sand. I do not want to have to go down that road has I might not be able to get the right stain or varnish so I was hoping someone might have a clue how to resolve this without going down that road. So I would appreciate any help of you guys can give on this thx.✌

Whichever way you do it, it will not go back to a decent finish without re-finishing. You might as well get the glue off, take off the factory finish and re do the lot in good CCL or other oiled finish.

It may sound daft but you could try rubbing the effected area with acetone (nail varnish remover) on a cotton bud. I am not 100% sure what it will do to the finish on the stock though.
Acetone will desolve superglue but dont know the effects it will have on the stock.

Ps let us know if you do succeed in removing it.

Put some superglue on a spare bit of wood and see what will get it off.
