s410 regulator set up

hi lads could anyone explain the set up when a regulator is used in the action i.e where does it go and what removed from the standard set up as i cant get my head around it,

reason being ive located an s410 in 177 which is regulated from ben taylor and as ive try 177 before and my situations at the time .22 was better suited i sold it on but now thinking of trying it again.I was just hoping if i didnt like it again i could remove the regulator and fit it to my 22 , i know the cylinder will need also to be swapped as itll have a vent hole but does the reg just screw in where the pot is or was
