WHOA, dodged one there lads, be warned!

Tue Dec 29, 2015 3:03 pm

finally settled on which new camera to buy (Lumix GF7) & found one £70 cheaper than I was gonna spend y`day in Glasgow after discovering the only one left was the display model (which I refused as no discount) anyhoo, came across ValueBasket.com & asked my daughter to check it out for me as I`ve had my fingers well, singed is probably better than burned IIO, anyhoo, she sighed, came to my `puter, opened another page & looked up reviews for the site, if you want, check them out on moneysavingexpert.com
thank god for a computer savvy daughter I can turn to, as I certainly don`t have £230 to chuck down the swanny (or Yangtze), I`m certain none of you do either.
Valuebasket is just another reincarnation of SIMPLYELECTRONICS (a renown ripoff company) based in China - I ordered a phone from SIMPLYELECTRONICS, over 2 years ago and waited for delivery, of course they never delivered - eventually, I got my money back - but AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!
just one I`ve lifted from trusted reviews site, Phew!

Yet another example of why not to buy online aside? Use them or lose them is my adage and I'd rather pay over the odds with a reputable or local company than risk this kind of situation. If things go wrong you can go back and bollock them! I don't want local shops large or small to disappear either as they make communities, create jobs, enable socialisation. The list is endless.

But glad you didn't get ripped again wastrel

wot he said, I`m going back to Glasgow tomorrow & paying £299 for my new camera, if owt go`s wrong, I`ll only need to go back to glasgow (Jessops) to resolve it.
