S510

Tue Oct 20, 2015 2:32 pm

Hello all.
Just returned to airgunning after a few years having sold all my gear. I've decided on the rifle I want, a S510 which will have to be secondhand but I've read reports on low power issues (9 ft/lb) being a problem could any of you experts out there tell me how common this is as I'll most likely be buying private with no access to a chronograph.

Cheers,

Chris

It's not likely to be a problem, why not buy a chronograph? A lot of think they are an essential bit of kit for any responsible airgunner. A new Combro chrono can be had for around £50.

I bought mine private from a gent in Wales, no issues with power level, like Timmy says invest in a Chrono, it will aid you in many ways. 8-)

Ive had 7 secondhand AA's over the last 4 years and the lowest power Ive had was 10.9 so I wouldn't worry
There all simple to work on and tweak, I have a 510 and its a cracking bit of kit, great choice !

Thanks for the advice gents, that has put my mind at rest. Unfortunately £50 on a chrono' would eat into the rifle fund which is as stretch already with her indoors holding the purse strings.

Thanks again

Chris.
