Which is the best lamp to use on an air rifle

Hi all
At present i use a deben mini pro lamp for lamping but I am looking to change it for someting smaller and lighter that does not need a battery pack?.
Idealy I would like one that has a dimming option and able to fit different colour lens covers.
Any ideas which to buy

Hi Kevin,
You obviously read my post in the Hinting section with reference to my new Night Master NM800ic. My advice is that unless at some time you intend moving into rimfire and particularly centre fire then the nm800 will be more than you require if you know what i mean. My advice would be to go for a Night Master Venom Strike which is less powerful than the nm800 but absolutely perfect for air rifles and even rimfire i would say up to 100 yards. Go on WWW.Taclight.co.uk and all the information you need will be on there where you can look at the various products and technical details.
Now here's the thing as well. Taclight do ex demo products that still carry the 18 month guarantee and may have even only been used at shows or for photographic shoots. An ex Demo venom strike can be had for £106 with scope mount batteries and charger etc. Unfortunately my nm800ic was not available as an ex demo so set me back £165 but as i intend to use the lamp all the way from sub 12ft lb air through to my 243 C/F this lamp suited my needs exactly but for air rifle only i would go for a venom strike. Both the nm800 and Venom strike weigh so little you would hardly notice the difference on the rifle. Give Tac light a call they are very helpful. Highly recommend them.
