Tx200hc short stroke kit

Hi ,has anyone fitted a tinbum short stroke kit,are they good and worth fitting ,I've heard it reduces the recoil,any advice would be welcome,thanks,

They are good kits but if they aren't correctly fitted it can damage the internals of the comp tube, it works best with the drop in kit also.

I've already got the drop in kit fitted,are the stroke kits easy to fit,?been told I might need a bit more preloaded ,

Not fitted one personally but it's a case of attaching the kit to the end of the piston with grub screws easy to fit but just check it's fitted flush.
And as quoted from the site.

"Take the piston and carefully remove the piston seal. Place the extension on the seals locator. Ensure the extension is placed centrally on the piston. Looking from above there should be an equal amount of the piston visible all around the extension. Tighten the grub screws in turn a little at a time until the extension is secured. Do not overtighten! Ensure the extension is still central to the piston. The use of Loctite is recommended!
Reassemble the gun and check the power.

However he is a very helpful guy who would I'm sure would fit it for you if you do have any doubts!!

The good thing about the tin bum kits is they are designed for the DIY tuner with little experience if you fitted the drop in kit the short stroke kit won't prove difficult

Hi,after the replys I've had about fitting a short stroke kit to my tx200hc, I've decided not to do it,the reason being there's a possibility of damage,and im not going to take a chance of that happening, so better safe than sorry,once again thanks for your reply and knowledge,

The easiest way of shortstroking a .22" TX with the minimum number of parts is to fit a Walther LGV piston fitted with a 25mm Weihrauch seal.

The pistons are available for £24 + post from Sportswaffen In Germany, this will reduce your stroke to 76.2mm --- I'm not sure if the Anti Beartrap will still latch at this stroke as my TX doesn't have one fitted.

PS :- I also fitted the Weihrauch HW77 breech seal to my TX with a 0.8mm shim underneath it.

I used the Walther piston with a 25mm Weihrauch seal, a delrin top hat and a TX MK2 spring with the closed coils to the rear in order to keep the piston weight down.

As I say I'm not sure this will give the desired results on a .177" TX and I'm not sure the anti beartrap will work but I'm very happy with the results of fitting one to my MK2 .22" TX.
