I've read so many times that the original piston seal on the tx 200 is poor !!
So would like to hear which is the better one, when I get the next rifle which
will be a pcp I have plans of stripping my tx and doing a little fetle with it.
And one of the first things is seals and polishing.

Re: Tx 200 piston seal ..
If you are going to leave the piston as is then I prefer the V-Mach seal, they seem to last forever and I find them very consistent and not effected by temperature extremes.
An o-ring can be more efficient (also very consistent) but, I don't personally like them on the standard piston.
If you want to reduce hold sensitivity to a level where you can see the pellet hit the target through the scope then I can highly recommend the short stroke ally piston kits from Nick Gibney, they really do transform the TX to another level.

Re: Tx 200 piston seal ..
Sake, could i ask you as to why you dont like o ring seals on the std piston?

Re: Tx 200 piston seal ..
It was simply more scope movement (hold sensitivity) than the V-Mach internals, I am no expert and I only tried the famous U.S. Kit (so could be also a result of my allergy to all things American, Bushnell scopes excluded!). But, no question for me, they lasted only a few days prior the switch back, the additional movement was very apparent.

Re: Tx 200 piston seal ..
thanks for the reply Sake, do you think it was due to the seal or because with the vmac internals the lack of a piston weight made the shot cycle feel softer?did you try the o ring seal with the vmac internals?

Re: Tx 200 piston seal ..
I only tried it with delrin top hats (no additional weight in the piston) the kit is very nicely engineered and it made power ok, although the o-rings did not seem like a terribly good fit. It was for me better with the lazier V-Mach spring than those supplied.
I think for me trying to speed up the standard weight piston too much is not helping the hold sensitivity.
I am really enjoying Nick G's components at present, they don't feel terribly sweet but, they assist greatly in consistantly hitting targets which for me is the only goal.
