AA S200

Wed Jun 03, 2015 8:30 am

Haven't used the 200 for a few months and found that on the chrono on a full charge it will not do more than 9.5 lb. If I move the [power adjustment screw in or out the power stays the same, does not go up or down. HELP.

What pressure have you filled to, and are you sure ?

Is there another adjusting screw under the one you are moving ?

Is the little black side arm catching on the inside of the stock ?

Is the hammer sticking slightly ?

Is the hammer spring broken ?

You can adjust the power on the hammer spring if all the above are O.K.

If you do need any spares then Julian (bgaltd on here) can sort you out.

Cheers ray ,every thing seems to be working fine, the adjustment screw is a screw with a alan head, I presumed that was the adjuster and was a bit worried abut taking it completely out, so there could be another screw under this ?

They originally used a 3mm grubscrew with a locknut on for the side adjuster.

Someone could have put a short grubscrew in, with another on top to lock it. You should be able to take the screw right out to check.

I had that on mine...a short little cap screw to cover the adjustment screw.

Mine has a grub screw with a nut and that's ok,took the stock off and the spring to the firing bolt and there was a lot of fluff and grease on the spring, cleaned it up put it back together adjusted it and is now firing at 11.4 lb, smashing. Is there any way of finding the year of the gun, it is a mk 1. Thanks for the help.

A member posted that the 3rd No in the seriel No is the year of manufacture, so my 014552 makes mine an 04 model.
how this changes from 2010 onward I don't know, but if yours Rosie, is indeed a MK1 the 3rd digit should tell you.
Lettuce all know would you, I can't sleep when members leave things like this unanswered. Ta.

Doesn't look like that theory works

Try sending AA an e.mail with the rifle number and asking them if they can date it.
