seriously- if you come across (really) old glass in panes you`ll see it`s bulbous at it`s base, this is because the glass is sinking all the time incrementally because it is not a solid.
The tech guys at Pilkington tell me that your TV screen will drip a blob of glass every 100 years. That's if you still have a glass screen.
