Isn't 25.4mm equal to 1 inch? I would think all high end pcp's can shoot sub 20mm groups at 50m. I have shot many sub .5" 5 shot groups at 50m, off my knee FT style, and this is with my TX's. You still have to admit the pulsar is one ugly thing. :P

my point was Ray, Daystates are used by many professionals for pest control, seen an awfull lot of MK4`s used in articles & youtube posts, I think the Pulsar will join them, 2k to some people is an investment for their business, & like I said, I`d have one, luckily for me, I simply can`t afford one.
another reason I like the idea of a Bullpup is, my permission is a golf course, not being stupid, I don`t traipse around in full cammo with my rifle when people are about, I shoot when they`re all gone, well, that`s the theory, some diehards turn up at the most unlikely times of the morning & night which has me packing up & scooting off pronto. some members have made it quite clear they don`t want anyone shooting (even pest control) on the course when they`re around, luckily for me, it`s not their decision, so I just like the idea of having a rifle I can quickly stuff in my rucksack, walk off, job done! you can`t fit an S200 in a rucksack (unfortunately)

I have just wrote a post about compact light weight rifles, even if they are bullpups or take downs they have there place that's for sure.

light weight easy to carry something one can throw into a backpack is what air gunners need and want nowadays. a rifle that is short light weight and can fit into a backpack with get used more by the shooter as of the convenience.

Air-gun manufactures are starting to listen to what people need, and can see a market for these light weight short compact, folding take down rifles, and so can I...

We need rifles that can be thrown into a backpack and go and do the job, and some pinking fun if needed.

Interesting that the "Lightweight" Pulsar weighs in at 8.2lbs.

Just a few ounces less than the TXHC

Thinking a bit more about the above and reading Zippy's post re "take downs" I'm wondering just where the Pulsar is aimed (pun).

8lbs plus is a lump to cart about all day hunting and I can't see people being happy with that. Bullpups may well be short but they are also very high which can cause it's own problems.
I can see them used in FT but there are much better rifles available. They look like they would be awkward for HFT.

Maybe Benchrest shooting is their niche, I don't know.

With servicing costs in excess of £200 a pop they look like an expensive rifle to own, let alone buy.

Thats why I let my Airwolf go. It was a nice rifle and whether the electrics break down or not, you always have the impending charges for a service in the back of your mind.

Its not a gun you can put away for a few years and expect it to work just the same. Lovely gun, one of the best I've owned, just not viable within my circumstances.

Ray i know how heavy the pulsar is that is why I never Mentioned it in my post, the Pulsar is ugly as sin and over priced and as G, mentioned the hand grip is disgusting.
I am not a lover of DS products they are over priced and to much to go wrong and when it do's go wrong..... ££££.

My point was the TDR, ect and other take-down or folding rifles make a lot of sense light weight and easy to transport, you will see more and more these rifles soon, and they will sell.

If you Recall the Air Arms S400 MPR used to be a take down rifle on the older models however Air Arms had to change it to fixed stock because of the law.
The idea for the MPR take down stock at that time was easy transporting and storage to competitions shorter bag ect.

see this old thread bellow the AA, MPR used to be a take down rifle, AA had to change it to fixed stock as of law's, ( the take down version was much better and walnut)

see bellow thread.

Having said,,, I think take-down and folding rifles are handy out in the field and like The TDR, easy to transport and carry around.

Some bullpups are on the heavy side as ray commented, the Pulsar is over 8,lb that's as much as a springer, then you will add the weight of the scope very heavy for a PCP.

The plastic bits on the fore end looks cheap and nasty on the pulsar, the shape on the pulsar is not that compact and is as ugly as sin, Disgusting looking rifle. The electronics are based on the mk4's and they are well know for issues, Some other bullpup's are better designed and are much lighter in weight and more compact. The FX is lighter however the old magazine is crap and expensive at 50£+ on the FX guns.
