spring evening shooting

Wed Apr 08, 2015 6:22 pm

well I finally grabbed a few hours out yesterday evening :D and a stunning evening it was :D warm sun and light winds and bunnies galore :D :D bunny wise this is the most I`ve seen at this time of the year for many years :D :D little fur balls running about everywhere.
the resident foxes have been taken care of  (for now) bar the dreaded "m" word it looks like a bumper summer :D

I bagged 8 with ease :)
one was full up with young :(
one was in milk
and the other six were in good health

I could have doubled that easily but I don't shoot the little ones they`re time will come

Nice to hear you're getting a good bit of sport. This week kind of gives you the incentive to have a mooch about, nothing better than an afternoon out with the gun on a still afternoon with the sun on your back 8-)

nice one, ive been out recently around my farm an my neighbours farm and we never had many rabbits but since march the have gone from about 4 a field to 10 little fluffy buggers running everywhere. the rabbit population at mine is so low because of the fox population :(
