my old air arms s410

Wed Dec 18, 2019 12:29 pm

over the years I have many different air rifles DIANA . BSA. WEBLEY. WEIHRAUCH 90. 95. 97. FALCON FN19. just to mention a few
got my first air arms S410 in 2002 after packing in shot gun and FAC rifle and still have the same rifle today old hat now but still a very nice rifle
my grandson now uses my S410 under my supervision both on the farm and down at the local shooting range.
air arms in my opinion are an excellent rifle and last for years.

They certainly are, in fact the only PCPs that I would have, springers I prefer Weihrauch, where's the soap

Old or new the S410 is 1 of the best PCs out there in my opinion - especially in .22 flavour
It great when you can bring your grandson into the sport using such a nice gun.

I know you like tinkering, Rog... a case of necessity with HW, isn't it?! ;)

Sure is Tony, as I say, love my A/A but the 80 and 95 are good springers, and the TDRs are breeding, I've got 3 now, took one down to the Mendip shooting ground today, they have a nice little HFT course setup there, took the 50yd twice, you have to be a bit careful though, as there are sheep wandering about, or as I call them woolly backstops

I'll stick with the TX200HC, but I have been tempted - a 95 or 99 maybe.
I think AA have gone off track with the TDR. My only gripe with the S410 is the bolt action so what I'd like is the old shorter TDR with a 510 action.

You'd like the 95 in .22 , bit snappy in .177 I did play with it, but we was never going to be best mates, and it got sold on, my TDR .177 is a cracking bit of kit, every bit as accurate as my S400 .177 but obviously feels a bit different due to short forestock, am looking into sorting that, with an adjustable quick release hamster, as you say,
I do like to tinker😎
