I like those chefs brûlée torches. Tiny little pointy flame. Or soldering iron direct on the brass.
If its green loctite it can be heat resisting.

Don't know what kind of loctite it was but heating it and tapping it back towards the bolt end and fitting the new breech seal seems to have solved the problem.
I don't think the brass barrel housing was in the correct position.
Now I've got an extremely stiff cocking bolt
On the up-side it's shooting a little quieter now just the stiff cocking problem.

Stiff cocking! Sounds like the firing valve body and the striker body aren't in alignment, when you refit bolt housing, leave the bolt RN135 that holds it all together just slightly loose, once you have bolt housing on, tighten the RN135 bolt. Rog

I presume you have at least applied moly grease to the bolt and worked it in? It’s a monthly task IMO.

Yes Peter I did apply some this evening and it worked a little.
Stripped it down a little further to expose the striker rail too, that's still clean and smooth, hammer still shiny and polished.
I then swapped the hammer spring just in case that was the cause.
Assembled and read 16ft/lb so that was replaced again!
It's a lot smoother now, cause I think was not perfect alignment of the top housing and nowhere enough moly grease (clear o ring grease) to the bolt.

Clear o ring grease ?? That may be silicone grease. It must be proper black petroleum based moly grease like Abbey or Bisley. Silicone grease will ruin metal to metal surfaces. It isnt “slippery” as we said in our tribology course.

I'll have to get some black petroleum based grease today then Peter as yes it was the silicone based grease I used, it was the only one I had available.
