I put a plump line up at 40 yrds indoors, i put my s510 on a bench with gun bags and set the scope and ret perfectly plump with the line and adjusted my vortex scope level accordingly... its perfect.
But my question is does CANT really make that much difference on a sub 12ftlbs air rifle, say an average max up to 60 yrds or so?
RIFLE CANT
Re: RIFLE CANT
Bearing in mind the lower the power the greater the angle between line of sight and barrel. It's this angle that causes the projectile to deviate from the line of sight when you introduce cant. The higher the sight the worse the effect. A .22 will be worse than .177 due to the curve of the trajectory and (most likely) a nearer zero which increases the angle. A 5 degree cant can give you around 30mm horizontal error at 60yards.

Thanks, my rig iv got 34mm tier one mounts and a delta Stryker 34mm tube 5x50x56 sfp, all purchased from optics warehouse, and the scope objective sits approximately 1mm from shroud so hopefully the CANT can be eliminated some what. And its .177 calibre.

Re: RIFLE CANT
Even at 10 metres I have cant markers inside the foresight to line up with the target card (spirit levels not allowed at 10m)
Anyway mum said theres no such word as cant.
