Bit strange this one, as it is a single shot, so not sure what you could be looking for?

I’ve heard some say it’s a bit fiddly to load pellets and just wondered if there was a single shot tray available to make this easier

I load .177 wadcutters without any problem but I dont have a scope.
No there is nothing to replace what is there, as the loading groove is part of the bolt housing.
I only find bear trap loaders like the TX fiddly..

It may not be relevant, but the Rowan magazine includes a shim that is meant to be glued into the loading channel so that it is level with the bottom of the breech. This is to ensure the pellet is aligned when the bolt is pushed forward. I've read somewhere that a couple of people said it also improves loading in single shot mode.

The S400f doesn't need the shim - absolutely no problems with feeding manually or from the Rowan mag on mine. Best manual technique I've found is to roll the pellet in.

I think the shim is for earlier .177s. Didn't they share the same breech block as the .22, so the channel was deeper than ideal?

That's true of my .177 S400 - the channel is clearly made for .22 and feeding the pellets can be a bit of a pain. I keep meaning to try to botch something up, but if Rowan make a shim already, I'll get in touch with them. Anyone tried the Rowan shim in an S400?
