Hi all,can anyone tell me a rough price to fit a regulator
to my S410,& what extra or improved performance
Will it achieve,thanks

Depends, if you look at Rob Lanes site on his AirArms fitting supplement PDF he says he charges a basic £195 or £250 for the full monty Air Arms set up because they're a bit of a bitch to to get running right. Don't know how much others charge. They are DIY if you're confident and capable enough to do a strip down, I did my 400 "carbine" With a Lane the other week because I wanted the extra shot count for HFT/Practice, it did take some testing and sorting to get it right. "Normal" shooting shouldn't need a reg as the 400/410 is consistent enough in the sweet spot.

Sorry beezer just seen this now, thanks for info ,unfortunately I'm not great at DIY,so I'd have to get it done,
Do you know how many consistent shots it'd give you without dropping power?

Depends, Is your 410 full length or carbine?. My carbine is around 70 shots per fill, someone else mentioned recently they got 75 from their regged carbine so that seems the norm. Dunno what a full length would give but they do give more than that in standard form. If you're mainly plinking and a bit of hunting I just cannot see the point of sticking a reg in it be it carbine or full length for a cost of over £200 for buying and fitting, then there's the £70 or so you'll want to spend on top of that for a quickfill with gauge so you'll know the cylinder pressure etc.

I've just ordered an S510 FAC carbine .177. Plan to use it for pest control, pigeons, sparrows in supermarkets. It's my job. I plan on getting it regulated purely for the consistent shot. Have an HFT500 which I got off a guy only recently and it's very accurate. so the S510 will give me the 10 shot mag for faster loading. I will turn it down to around 12 ft/lb or less, but am also interested to know if the gun will need much setting up other than installing the reg? The Altaros one appeals to me.

FAC in a supermarket ? Over the top or what ? I reckon .22 sub 12 should do the job n. I will be checking my Cornflakes very carefully .Rog

Extra goodness! I will be turning it down to 12 ft/pd or slightly less, so your muesli is safe. 177 for the flatter trajectory. Some shots from the wine section to above the butchery can be around 50 m, so the flatter the better. Much easier to find the pellet wrapped in a sparrow .

Interesting that sparrows are not protected indoors.
