Double Gold in Canada !

Some of you may have clocked me mentioning that my daughter was representing Great Britain in the girls heavyweight division in the Canadian Open Taekwando competition in Alberta this week. Well, the results have been filtering through on social media and it looks like Anjali lifted not one but two Gold Medals for Team GB !!! The first was for her strong point event of Sparring which is a number of 2 minute rounds of serious contact and the other one was for Patterns. That I am chuffed is an understatement.

She was up against various opponents from Canada, USA, Norway, Australia and other countries. Looks like all the 25 hours of training a week and the early morning runs paid off.
There is one more event where they form a Tag Team and fight other teams. Because there aren't any other girls from her age and weight group, she is fighting with the over 18 - Ladies. There could be a hat trick yet
Keep you posted ...
