Typical Bank Holiday weather, I had to work but we planned for a BBQ tea after an afternoon of sorting plants, potting, repotting and doing some cuttings. Tomato plants done, pour a beer and right on cue the heavens opened. Oh well, BBQ food under the grill?
Not on your nelly!! I told Clare and Morgan to bring the stuff down to the barn/workshop in an hour and I set to with a will to make it work.
Opened up the doors to the lane, put up the pasting table (a really good strong one) and we're away! BBQ in the doorway wit6h the breeze taking the smoke away nicely! We tucked into chicken, steak and a burger each with salad and sweet chilli potatoes, a beer and a bottle of wine and then enjoyed an hour with a few chunks of wood blazing away. A smashing evening which has reinforced our reputation locally as being slightly mad!
