I could not start the day without my oats....rolled that is. Three minutes in the microwave and its done. It keeps me going just nicely for the first few hours of the day. Now a full English can keep me going longer, but I don't have the time in the morning to make it. What keeps you going in the morning.

Two teas with two sugars, that's it until I get home around 7pm. I do however drink a lot of tea during the day (with one spoon)

left in a room with nowt to eat but porridge, I swear- I`d starve to death, I abhor the stuff, being a proud Scot, I`ve tried it in every variation, made with water, milk, add sugar, honey, salt, pre-made, just micro-NO,
utterly revolting tasteless lumpy mulch!
here`s a bit of useless information, the last recorded case of scurvy (vitamin deficiency) in the UK (at one time-the 80`s) was a man in Aberdeen who`d made poridge, lot`s of porridge, lined a chest of drawers with greaseproof paper & filled them all.
he then ate said mulch, fried, boiled, raw, warmed etc etc, honestly, it`s no wonder we get a rep`

I like mine plain with just enough milk to make a good pulp! It's really handy food for a Diabetic as it's full of slow release complex carbs. I can't eat loads because of the carb content but I'd happily live on the stuff for it's simplicity.
