Every 2 years preferably. I ask GP for PSA blood test and the "DRE" exam which is only mildly uncomfortable for those that may be scared - it's nothing compared to being too late and is more accurate than the PSA test.
15 years ago the docs didnt want to test but now they do.

Yep, I lost my father to advanced prostate cancer last year.
He didn't go to the docs early enough or have regular checks.
We had him for 3 years from diagnosis to death, I wouldn't wish anyone's family having to go through what we did.

You know the saying, one up bum no harm done :shock: ;)

got 3 friends with it ages range from 40 to 72 .
one has very aggressive type.
new treatment on tv tonight on prostate where it is enlarged .

Been for my yearly "Well Man" test results at the doc's this morning.
Blood and Urine samples have retuned normal, Blood pressure is normal, and PSA levels are fine.
Had a once only Pneumonia jab to finish with.

Then the bloody nurse went a spoiled it, by checking my weight and informing me that i'm obese :o
I'm 6ft and 16 stone for goodness sake.....that is NOT obese. :roll:
