Myford ML7

Mon Dec 18, 2017 11:45 pm

4 years ago my father passed away and his workshop wasn’t disturbed until 6 months ago. His lathe was still on the bench but a broken sky lights had let in loads of rain. With the rain came some good size ivy :o

As a keen machinist he would have been beside him self if he had seen it. Now as a remembrance to him I have fully renovated it. 5 and a half months later it’s finished
It has taken many hours to complete it. It’s an imperial model made in 1952.
My dads imperial spanner’s came in very handy 8-)
I hope you enjoy seeing it as I did renovating it.

Top job you've made of that 8-) You can see why they've always been the first choice for loads of people in model engineering over the years.

Thanks for the nice comments.
It has been a real journey.
The lathe was in a right state and to be honest almost scrap, but I knew I needed to do this.
I’m sure my dad would want it back if he was still with us
