Out of action
Out of action
Ever do something that, in hindsight, was really stupid? I was knocking some ceramic tiles loose with a 2x6 on Monday. They happened to be overhead and I was standing to the side. One piece about 18"x 3" was knocked up into an attic area and fell back to earth, actually my face was in the way. I'm out of action until my jaw heals and it's on the side I shoot from. I reached to feel and see if I was bleeding only to feel a gash as wide and long as my index finger. I decided not to look and just packed it with gauze and held pressure with a clean bath towel. I then drove myself to Urgent Care some 10 miles away. At least I was treated as a priority and got in real quick. 10 stitches later and I have a nice gruesome wound from the edge of my lip down to just under the jawbone. A piece of broken tile is very dangerous and I feel quite foolish, after the fact.

Over here it would have to be more like, "I got in a fight with a Mexican with a machete". You think I look bad, you should've seen the other guy.
