help on new boots please.

Tue Jun 21, 2016 8:16 pm

Right,, Fancy some new boots and would greatly appreciate some help and recommendations. thank you for any help.

I don't want any camouflaged type or wood type patterns on them just some sensible black or brown full leather type boots, Gortex.
I don't want any cloth type or Jack-pike rubbish, (no offence intended)

Sensible price as I can't afford £300 for boots just to get tore up in the woods on brambles.
I remember someone on here mention some Gortex army type that was very good.
Some boots that you know are very comfortable and very waterproof that you have and tested in the field.

I was going to buy some Lowa boots.... here this link below.

Boots are indeed the most important part of our kit along with your jacket.
I also had my eye on these boots but they have now name and not really sure on these, bellow what? do you think?

I bought these. Supremely comfortable, waterproof and warm. I wore them for a whole week in Northern Finland last December in permanent powdery snow at minus 8 degrees and I didn't feel a thing. All I ever do to them is treat them with that Bone Dry wax from New Zealand. By the way, they are made by HAIX.
