Day off and a burst main

So I've had the day off - walked the dog for 2 hours in the very heavy rain: went to the range for a couple of hours and put some pellets down.........in the rain, gave the car a wash off........in the rain, cleaned my external window sills..........in the rain, then walked the dog again............in the rain.
Turned the water on to have a shower half hour ago and.................no water! The water main into the village has burst. So thousands of gallons of the stuff floating around on the fields and falling from the sky, but none in the taps. Bloody typical!!
