Drug limits

As from Monday there are limits for how much you can have in your system. Now, I may be wrong but the way I understand it we now have tests that will see if a driver has more than a prescribed limit of ILLEGAL drugs in their system. Obviously there are limits for legal drugs as well but surely an illegal drug is illegal no matter what? Any trace of illegal drugs no matter how small should mean a conviction for drug use and a very long driving ban?

I know people have small amounts of illegal drugs on their hands which has come from bank notes for example. These days you can be contaminated by all sorts of ways. Drug taking is so common today it is impossible not to get contaminated, especially in the inner cities. So I think it would be unfair on someone who got convicted just because they had handled a £10 note in their change which previously had come from a drug user. When you took the contaminated note as change for a sandwich then you ate it you would have a trace of the drug in your system. That is the reason I think why there is a maximum limit on the amount of drugs in your system I don't expected it to be very high level that is permitted but I don't know not my area of expertise.

The "druggies" will be fine.
It will be "Capable" of the maximum limit and there will not be a specified test. No-one will ever be prosecuted as the legislation will not be used.
Realistically there will be a finite limit. Testing will be controlled and people will be prosecuted. As it should be.
I presume the limits have been established and based on scientific reasoning.
