[b]I rejoined The AAOC last Saturday 15th January and received a great welcome..felt like the proverbial prodigal son..a lot of members on here know I lost 'er indoors to THE BIG C 3 years ago..and for a while I was in a bit of a dark place..but you pull yourself out of it and soldier on..I packed up the place we had in Tenerife and returned to the green and pleasant land of West Yorkshire..stayed with my sister for a while then sorted my own place..returned to work..and cracked on..
Last week as I was at my sisters I took a walk onto to see the farmer whose land I used to shoot on and called in to have a chat with him..(he knows my brother in law very well) and we had a really good natter..he actually said to me..are you still shooting..I said ..not as much as I did..in fact very little..then he said well (you have to think broad Yorkshire accent/dialect here) Go and get thi gun and thi tackle on and clear them bunnies off of yon bankin'..just phone me when you are going to be out there shooting..I said so I get to shoot on your property again then..he said Aye lad are thi daft or what..(lad..really..he's in his late 70s about 15 years older than me) so I have my permission back result I thought so I said I'd get some new permission cards sorted for him and me to sign..I even had my BASC card on me to show I was insured..(other insurance is available <<DISCLAIMER>>)..so things are on the up...I have around 50-60 acres of shooting to play with now..As good as winning the Lottery
So tomorrow I'll be out there tomorrow Sunday having a bit of a mooch round from around 8am..wish me luck..
