Just had a dose mate.
I started feeling like shit at the end of November and ended up in bed shivering for a week, then spent the next week sweating and aching in every joint. Took another week before i started feeling better, just in time to travel to London to look after my 96 yr old mother in-law over Christmas.

Sadly she decided she had had enough, and passed away on Boxing day :(
Brilliant timing :x had to spend all the week sorting out funeral arrangements, when all the offices were closed for half the week.

Back home now and everything's ready for the funeral next week. I'll be glad when it's all over

(As you can probably guess, the wife and i had a pretty crap Christmas.)

These things always seem to happen at this time of year Grandad! Well despite the sadness of the event at least you were both there to look after her at the end? Make next Christmas a time of laughter and remembrance rather than sadness. 96 is a good innings. I have all this to come yet with my parents of a similar innings.

As for manflu etc - was it not proven recently that men do suffer worse from colds? It's because we work harder and drain our resources more and we are more able to express our feelings etc ;)
