A real autumn day!

Cloudy, slightly misty but very mild.
Had a quick walk to the orchard this morning and picked up a few bramleys and some unknown but gorgeous eaters. 2 horse mushrooms from the stables to add to the steak, chicken, pork chops and home made sausages for a mixed grill later. Had a visit from Paul (Big Dog) and Tracey for an hour of yakking guns, jeeps etc.
I'm doing some brewing this afternoon, the last of the Xmas special beer to bottle up and 10 gallons of bitter to start off.
I might walk down to the B&B and the orchard again later with the S200 and see if I can pick up a rabbit or 2 but they are few and far between, myxi has hit hard 2 miles up the road so there aren't many about, certainly not the numbers I've been hoping for.
Some interesting news for South West shooters, Paul told me about a new air rifle range opening near Langport in November, a wind free 80 metre range!
That will be worth a visit for some sociable plinking sessions, close to home and with a couple of good hostelries on the way back.

Absolutely gorgeous up here this morning.
The sun is shining, weve lost that Easterly air flow, and its very mild with not a breath of wind.
Trees look lovely too as they hang on to whats left of their feathers 8-)

I'll try, the AAOC does seem to need a bit of a kick up the arse at the moment!
As for autumn? we've had a long dry spell here, a bit of rain due tomorrow but then coming dry again. Glorious bright sunshine here right now and warm enough to sit outside in a T shirt.

 Looks like its goodbye high pressure hello low pressure  Getting windier as of tomorrow

On a slightly different note, I see the ridiculous long range weather forecasts have started in the press. Apparently its going snow for 30 odd days starting in December :o :? :o Funnier than the funny pages aint it
