The weather today 22.8.15

Sat Aug 22, 2015 3:52 pm

Its been baking all day, and even the wind was hot :o . You would have thought we we in Egypt. There is now a storm on its way which sounds great in the distance. A few heavy rain spots just woke me up in the garden .

Whose cooking and whose chilling

Did I mention that I'm the only one to have attended EVERY meet since we started

Wet up here for best part of the day. No "Spanish drizzle" or whatever they were calling todays "weather event" :?

the met office has lost its weather forecasting contract with the bbc as of next year as a part of cutting costs.

Eh? Well not like that some 20 miles south Gordon. Pat and I were roasting in the afternoon both in the blazing sun and the humid cloudy conditions. There was some light patchy rain earlier in the day which soon blew over. Nothing flying mind but we did get some rimfire time in.

My father in law used to call that persistent drizzle "just a bit of sea fret" even when we were miles inland. Some storms last night though.

It did brighten up in the late afternoon Steve. I've not been out in over a week, its nice and cool in our sitting room :)

Why be awkward, when with a bit of effort you can be really impossible!
