Whats your favorites then chaps? Preferably home cooked.
I've just eaten my 76 y/o mums sausage and mash. A proper simple dish, but oh so bloody marvelous and proper filling! No Yorkshire pud aloud ,as that,s toad n the hole.
I can cook, better than me mam if truth be told, but you just can't beat the satisfaction that the humble meals give!

If I could just eat one thng, sausage and mash wth onion gravy takes some beating

Chicken & Haggis in a white sauce for me (Balmoral chicken!)
gave my son recently, some mashed potato mixed with corned beef (corn beef hash) this was a cheap meal my mum could knock up for us when we were kids & things were tight, guess what, my son loved it! came downstairs & asked me what I`d done to the potato`s? the explanation didn`t put him off one bit, asked the boss if he could have hash any time we made him mash potato`s in future!

Wastrel, if I may I shall join you with Balmoral chicken, wrapped in crisp bacon and served with a selection of seasonal veg, wild mushroom sauce.... brings back very fond memories of long days on the hill and the adorable lassie that ran the kitchen in the lodge

Sake, I`ve just finished my dinner & you`ve still made my mouth water, that could be the Lassie in the lodge though (cue the dog jokes, nomatter, Sake knows!)
