anyone have experience of Paslode IM250 finishing nailgun?

Mon Aug 10, 2015 7:42 pm

I`m in a real spot of bother here with my trusty finishing gun, the motor will not run, I`ve tried checking the wiring loom- it all seems ok,
(brand new) battery -charged, gas bang up to date & full, but the fan will just not spool up? I assume it`s an electrical fault but don`t wanna fork out on parts like a new motor or spark unit (some clever sods bought all available parts to sell on ebay & make a killing!) until I can determine what it is that`s faulty, at over 450 sheets for a new one guys, you`ll understand why I can`t just bin it & buy a new one! Paslode have discontinued parts for the IM250 (cheers for that one Paslode) so the tool repair businesses around west of Scotland will clean & lube these guns but state before hand, they cannot supply parts for maintenance or repair
ANY advice would be great?

I use these a lot but no experience with repairs. My approach would
be to take it to my local HIS or similar for a fault diagnosis,
and then try and source a part. A link for potential parts.
