Well I turned up to work today, boss called me to the office yesterday and asks me if I've been on a interview at a local dairy ,I said yes but turned it down as I'm happy where I am . Today I get called to the office again sacked due "trust issues " nothing to do with the fact I went to a interview (he said) I asked for a explanation and got told I'm not a team player (today was my day off I was only in because someone phoned in sick  ) I've done jobs not in my description and I thought I got on with everyone :? .obviously there not a lot I can do because the new laws say you can sack people in the first 2 years of emloyment with our reason basically.
The worst part of all this is I probably won't be able to make the meet this year

Hello Dan
That is very wrong what they have done.
Hope you find something else quickly.
Just a thought, would it be worth going back to the dairy where you had the interview?

Anthony

Dan, I was told the company I was working for over Xmas & all Jan' was gonna bring in its own men when a new foreman arrived 1 monday morn. (I was agency) so, sorry mate you (me) had to go there & then 1st thing tues morn, IOW he sacked me!
I called a mate who was working in a local submarine base after he told me there was years of work on a combined new build & refurb site, point is, I've been there ever since, I then got a job for a close friend to work with me, on our own most of the time, no hassle from anyone.
We're both changeing to an internal job (read warmer, drier, better paid) on the site 17th next month- scheduled to finish sometime 2017!
in effect, getting sacked was the best thing that happened to me this year.
make it the best thing that happened to you mate, there's a better job out there Dan, promise. Keep the faith mate & find it.
