".It is illegal to eat mince pies on Christmas Day (Banned in Oliver Cromwells England as part of efforts to tackle gluttony)."
This is an absolute load of tosh and the truth is easily researchable.
"It could be regarded as an act of treason to place a postage stamp Bering the Queens image upside down."
Again a load of tosh and shows a complete ignorance of the Treason Act and the application of that Act.

Our wonderful city of London has not always had this name. In the past it has been called Londonium, Ludenwic and Lundenburg.

Windsor Castle is the oldest Royal residence in the world that is still being used by the Royal family and that Buckingham Palace was built in 1702 on the site of an infamous brothel !
Re: Did you know...
the song `teenage kicks` by The Undertones doesn`t make a lot of sense if you listen closely to the lyrics, this is cos they changed the original one word of the lyrics, to a more radio/market friendly one, cos it`s a song about, erm, well, just substitute the word `it` for `I want to hold `her` tight`, & you`ll figure it out!

England's first telephone directory was published in 1880 and had only 248 names and addresses (there were no telephone numbers as you had to call the operator and ask for someone's name to get connected).

Nowhere In the UK is more than 70 miles (113km) from the sea! A place called Coton in the Elms is the furthest place from the sea.
