Once had a fellow on the job ask me to remove his staples. He had 8 in the back of his head from being hit with a baseball bat. I took a pair of aviation tin snips and cut the things in half, then picked out the pieces with some old tweezers. I lost the last one as it popped inside the skin when I cut it. I told him to have his woman friend dig it out because there was some blood and I certainly didn't want to come in contact his his questionable blood.

cheers lads, things seem to be going well, much slower than i expected though. can walk around 100yds if i take it steady, and i been down to my boat a couple of times.
got to see the vascular surgeon next friday, and i've got to have the ureteric stent removed when i'm up to it. i'm almost ready to move back on board now
