Re: What do you do for a living
I was an Airborne Soldier for 16 years, then worked in other Government Service for another 17. Had to take a package a few years ago as I had developed severe PTSD and OCD. Nowadays I work/manage a wood-yard part time at a local builders merchant. It's rubbish money, but I have trouble working full time as my memory and concentration wander due to the medical problems I have.
Re: What do you do for a living
Train driver, now driver manager of 50 staff. It's good, I can do some stuff on the laptop and when I get bored I go out on a train and nobody can question where I was.

Retired now, ex merchant navy and Hgv1 driver, and no I don't miss the driving, but the free travel all over the world was brilliant. Rog

Me, I'm a farmer (ooh arghh, ooh arghh, get orf my land and all the rest
). I'm also a qualified ag engineer so I tend to ensure my job mainly entails tinkering with large machinery in the workshop and of course a bit of pest control as and when it's needed
It's a hard life but some one has to do it

I had to google Luddington which made me think it wasn't local. It turns out Lincs is a pretty big place, I'm at the the other end, Sleaford area on the edge of the fens. We get a nice view out to Boston (if you can see the stump you know the airs clear) with out the slightly oppressive feeling you get out in the flatlands with no break to the horizon
