I've bumped into plenty of Russians while holidaying in India and sadly I have to say that the nice ones are a definite minority.
The biggest part I have met are arrogant, nasty, greedy and uncouth. I suppose it's years of being confined to barracks or maybe it's just the DNA.

The problem is, their current authorities don't care what they do, you only need to look at what happened in Ukraine.

agreed, when thugs are led by a thug, it`s a no win situation!
& if those thugs are organised, trained & armed!

English fans don't help themselves but how much of their behaviour was down to Russian provocation? French police admit that the Russian fans instigated most of the problems yet weren't arrested. English fans were and got custodial sentences. Maybe that is the French way of sending a message about Brexit? Or maybe just being as the French have always been towards us?

I heard the Russians threw bits of Citroen and Renault cars to start the fight, but as the bits had already fallen off due to build quality, no offence was deemed to have been committed.
